Interval Training - June 25th (week 2)

Happy Sunday! Last week’s workout was so much fun with a strong turnout! Let’s keep the momentum going!
We will meet at 6:00pm at Herndon High School track.
What if it’s too hot? Watch this blog for last minute updates. The heat will be a factor this week. As always, use your judgment…opting for a morning workout may be a smart choice this week although it’s more fun with a group.
Week 2 Workout
- Warmup on track. 2-miles or twenty minutes whichever comes first for you. This will be at Conversational pace.
- Warmup on the field - high knees, butt kickers, skipping, backwards run, carioca right side, carioca left side.
- 3 x 400 meters (one lap around the track) with 200m jog in between.
- 2 x 600 meters (one and a half laps) with 400m jog in between.
- 2 x 400 meters (one lap around the track) with 200m jog in between.
- Cool Down: 10-minutes at Conversational pace
If you run less than 25 miles per week, do fewer intervals.
